Organising for Liberation
Our work
BLMUK has been fighting for Black liberation for nearly 10 years, from direct action to political education programmes. We use a range of strategies to advance collective liberation, working towards a world built on care, not cages.
Our work over the years
Project Timbuktu
Project Timbuktu is BLMUK’s flagship free political education programme, designed to equip activists with tools, theory, and networks to advance Black Liberation. We have learnt and grown with communities across London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds.
Festival of Collective Liberation
We hosted liberatory programmes featuring speakers, workshops, film screenings and assemblies for the community. Joined by leading thinkers, grassroots organisers, and radical collectives, we explored the reactionary forces shaping our world and how we fight back.
Anti-Racist Movement
Alongside Maslaha, Migrants Organise, and Right to Remain, we are building a radically multicultural society free from racial oppression, fear and exploitation. ARM aims to connect hundreds of local organisers across the UK to work towards this vision, where people can fulfil their potential.
